Understanding COA Certificates for Peptides

1 min read Uncategorized

Reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography separates the components of a sample by hydrophobicity. The resulting chromatogram shows the target peptide as a main peak, with impurities resolved as smaller peaks. Purity is reported as the area percentage of the main peak. A Certificate of Analysis ties that result to a specific lot, states the detection wavelength and lists appearance and storage conditions. Reports describe analytical purity of the raw material only — they are not a safety or efficacy statement.
